SNOMAN (Sub-Nanoscale Observation of Magnetic Noise) is a novel instrument for atomic-scale measurement of quantum spin dynamics. Inspired by STM technology, it features a new magnetic probe combined with the ultimate SQUID sensitivity to measure local dynamical magnetism at the surface of magnetic quantum materials. This innovative concept, the Scanned Spin-Noise Microscope (SSNM), operates in a cryogen-free dilution refrigerator (<20 mK) by using a custom mK cryogenic vibration isolation system. |
